  • Profile photos, bio, interests, and preferences
  • Location data (if enabled) to provide proximity-based matches

  • Profile preferences, match history, and app interactions

C. Communication Data

 

  • Messages sent through Flirtea (text, voice, video)

2. Location Data

Flirtea uses your location to help you find matches near you. This section explains what we collect, how we use it, and the third parties involved.

A. What We Collect

  • City and country — selected during onboarding via in-app search (e.g. “Lahore, Pakistan”)
  • Approximate coordinates (latitude / longitude) — only the point you select, not your live device location
  • Search radius — your preferred match distance, between 1 km and 100 km
  • Country code — used to display your country flag and improve search relevance

B. What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not track your movement or live GPS location
  • We do not keep a history of places you’ve been
  • We do not access your location in the background
  • Location data is only captured when you explicitly tap the GPS button or pick a city from the search

C. How We Use this Data

  • To match you with users within your chosen radius
  • To show your city name only on your profile (your exact coordinates are never displayed to other users)
  • Coordinates are stored privately and used only for distance calculations

D. Third-Party Processors

We use Mapbox to power our location search and map preview:

  • Mapbox, Inc. — 1714 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, USA
  • Mapbox processes your search queries (text you type) and your selected coordinates to return city suggestions and render the map preview
  • Mapbox’s privacy policy: https://www.mapbox.com/legal/privacy
  • Mapbox does not receive your Flirtea profile data, photos, or any other personal information

E. Your Control

You can change or remove your location at any time:

  • Settings → Edit Profile → Location — update your city or radius
  • Settings → Delete Account — permanently removes all location data

F. Data retention

  • Active accounts: location is kept while your account is active
  • Deleted accounts: all location data (city, coordinates, radius) is permanently deleted within 30 days

We process location data based on your consent, which you give when you select a city during onboarding. You can withdraw consent at any time by updating or removing your location in Settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

Flirtea uses your information to provide, maintain, and improve the platform, personalize your experience, ensure safety, and communicate with you.

 

  • User Experience: To suggest compatible matches, provide advanced filters, and optimize recommendations using AI-powered algorithms.
  • Communication: To enable chat, voice, and video calls within Flirtea.
  • Safety & Trust: To verify profiles, prevent fraud, detect suspicious activity, and enforce community guidelines.
  • Marketing & Engagement: To send promotions, offers, app updates, and personalized recommendations (with consent).
  • Analytics & Product Improvement: To monitor performance, identify usage trends, and develop new features.
  • Legal & Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, protect our rights, and respond to legal requests.

4. How We Share Your Data

Flirtea does not sell personal information. Data may be shared only when necessary:

 

  • Service Providers: Payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics providers, and AI services.
  • Legal Authorities: When required by law or to prevent harm.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Public Safety & Protection: To investigate fraud, enforce policies, or protect users and platform integrity.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary:

 

  • Accounts inactive for [3 months] may be deactivated, with data anonymized or deleted.
  • Users may request account deletion at any time. Personal data will be removed unless retention is required by law.
