Grievance Officer & Redressal Mechanism

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”) of India, Flirtea has appointed a Grievance Officer to address concerns from users in India regarding the collection, processing, or handling of their personal data and any other complaints relating to the use of the Flirtea platform.

Scope of Grievances
You may contact the Grievance Officer regarding:
- Requests to access, correct, update, or erase your personal data under §11–§12 of the DPDP Act, 2023.
- Withdrawal of consent, or objection to the processing of your personal data.
- Concerns about content on the Flirtea platform, including reports of unsafe, unlawful, or harmful behaviour by other users.
- Complaints under the IT Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
- Any other privacy- or platform-related concern.
Response Timelines
In line with §13(3) of the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Intermediary Guidelines, 2021:
- Grievances will be acknowledged within 7 (seven) days of receipt.
- A resolution or substantive response will be provided within 30 (thirty) days of receipt, in the manner prescribed by applicable Indian law.
How to Submit a Grievance
To raise a grievance, please write to [email protected] with the following details:
- Your full name and the email address or phone number registered with your Flirtea account.
- A clear description of the issue or complaint.
- Any supporting screenshots, documents, or references (e.g. report ID, transaction ID, message ID).
- Your preferred resolution, if any.
To help us route your request, please include the phrase “DPDP Grievance” in the subject line where your concern relates to your personal data rights under Indian law.
Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided by the Grievance Officer, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India, constituted under the DPDP Act, 2023, through the channels notified by the Board from time to time.
